Raleigh Super Tuff Burner
The iconic Raleigh Super Tuff Burner is here for a limited time only, 35 years after it hit the BMX scene in 1983. Having recently relaunched its 35th anniversary classic MK1 Super Tuff Burner, Nottingham-based bike manufacturer Raleigh is channeling their heritage with a flashback to the 1980’s.
“The Super Tuff Burner is an icon of the 80’s and we’ve been amazed by the response it’s had from BMX fans from across the world. The demand has been overwhelming and even better than we anticipated. We couldn’t be happier,” states Raleigh UK Marketing Manager, Michelle Jakeway.
The reimagined Super Tuff Burner has really hit the mark with riders, who are delighted to have been reconnected with the original ‘80s BMX experience.
While the desire for the relaunched BMX classic might be the same, the reasons riders have for getting their hands on one are very different. For the younger riders, issues such as exclusivity, status and having a new way to express themselves are more key. The authenticity and build quality of the MK1 Raleigh Super Tuff Burner are also setting it apart for brand-savvy youngsters.
For the older riders, nostalgia is a key theme. There’s something to be said for nostalgia. It makes us feel connected. But the sheer connectiveness felt when recalling a fond memory is often met with a tinge of sadness as whatever we are remembering also feels somewhat lost.
The Super Tuff Burner is so much more than a bike. It’s the ability to revisit those cherished memories with renewed enthusiasm. Diminish the sadness and call on your inner child who is still, and has always at heart, been playin’ out.
The Raleigh Super Tuff Burner brings to a close a trilogy of Burner releases, which also included the Chrome Aero Pro Burner and Team Raleigh Pro Burner.
Raleigh is one of the world’s oldest and best-known bike brands. Established in 1887 in Nottingham England, Raleigh is still based in its hometown. Raleigh stocks a wide range of bikes including Road, Electric, Leisure, Urban, Kids and Classic ranges. The Super Tuff Burner is the latest in a series of recent limited-edition BMX re-launches.
